The text found in the first section of the Article [e.g. "Portions: (Page 952) JEHOVAH"] is copied from an original Vol. I of Smith's "A Dictionary of the Bible" Published in Boston in 1863. A London edition of this book was also published in 1863.

I'm curious as to why there are lots of explict <br> tags throughout this article - it makes it looks a little strange.... --TonyBowden 22:37, 12 May 2006 (BST)

That was my way of trying to simplify what I considered to be a difficult to understand article. Eliminate the <br> tags, and from my point of view the article is much more difficult to understand.
